GrantRescue/WinningSubmissions is owned and operated by Jeffrey B. Tatro, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine.
Jeff has operated GrantRescue/WinningSubmissions for over 20 years, following his own leading biomedical research career. He is a veteran researcher with over 25 years of independent research, writing and editing experience as a faculty member of Tufts Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, and Tufts' Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, in a wide variety of cutting-edge biomedical topics.
The inspiration and thus origin of GrantRescue arose toward the end of Jeff's bench-science career, when so many colleagues sought his help in their own grant-seeking, due to their recognition of his consistent success in winning various grants and new and renewal R01s. It was clear then, and still is, that researchers needed help telling their stories in the essential authoritative and reviewer-friendly manner that conveys their core message of problem-solving significance, innovation, and advantageous positioning.
Best of all, Jeff envisioned that this expanded mission scope would leverage his own broad-ranging scientific, grant-getting, reviewing, and publishing experience and grantsmanship skill set to enable a diverse swath of PIs to advance wide-ranging scientific findings and horizons, and to thus help address a plethora of biomedical and public health problems, across many fields, while also enabling their career success – a vast landscape, far beyond what was possible within the tightly-focused path needed for success in directing a research program as a PI. And that it how it all has worked out – for us and our broad range of client PIs!
Personal Track Record
His substantial personal track record of prior funding, groundbreaking discoveries, scientific publications and peer review spans an unusually broad range of fields including cancer, endocrinology, metabolism, neuroscience, physiology, neuropeptide receptor discovery & pharmacology, fever, inflammation and immunity, and includes international collaborative experience with basic scientists, clinicians, physician-scientists, large pharmaceutical firms, biotech concerns, and entrepreneurs.
Client Impact
Through GrantRescue, he has assisted hundreds of principal investigators and their collaborators in diverse academic and industrial settings, hospitals and healthcare concerns to obtain funding for proposals ranging from the most junior-level pre- and post-doctoral fellowships and career development awards to the largest NIH Centers, Comprehensive Cancer Centers, and other large-scale project goals.
